PG-13

PG-13 — “Parents Strongly Cautioned. Some Material May Be Inappropriate For Children Under 13.” This rating was added in 1984 to designate that some films that contain violence, profanity or sexual content are intense enough that many parents would not want to expose their younger children to the film. The films are not intense enough to warrant an R rating. Any movie featuring drug use will get at least a PG-13 rating. A PG-13 movie can include a single use of what the board deems a “harsher, sexually derived word,” as long as it is only used as an expletive, not in a sexual context.

About us

Karen, her husband Paul, and a subset of their six young adult sons & daughters have hosted regular movie nights since 2011, for thinkers and seekers (both teens & adults) in order to encourage others to think and to live as followers of Christ who influence culture for the glory of God.

Karen has created movie discussion guides for dozens of films in a wide variety of genres from all over the world . . . we invite you to discuss here, or use the resources here to host your own movie night! All you need to do is invite a few friends, download a discussion guide, set out some popcorn, watch a movie, discuss, and pray!

Each of our movie discussion guides includes major characters, background information, related Scriptures, discussion questions, and more! You can search by movie titles, themes, ratings, countries, or just browse.

Let us know what you think, and please invite thinkers & seekers in your life to use our resources!
